Support for the back muscles
Bauerfeind LumboTrain is a medical support brace that supports the back muscles in cases of lower back problems. According to the instructions for use, it is used for general acute and chronic pain in the lower back, degenerative diseases of the lumbar spine, conditions following a herniated disc, and after disc surgery.
Pad with 26 friction nubs
According to Bauerfeind, LumboTrain activates the core muscles, relieves lower back pain, provides a more stable feeling and straightens the lower back with the help of the knitted compression. Over the lower back is an anatomically shaped pad with 26 raised friction nubs, which, together with the knit, provide alternating, pain-relieving compression massage during movement.
Practical grips and good elasticity allow the support to be put on with little effort and fit snugly around the body. The closure over the abdomen has a thin, tapered edge for comfort when walking, standing and sitting down.
Two cuts: Straight and Slim Waist
LumboTrain is made in two cuts for different body proportions: Straight and Slim Waist. According to bauerfeind.se, the slim-waist cut has a more tailored shape with higher-cut legs (formerly LumboTrain Lady). Both cuts have the same intended purpose.
Material composition according to the manufacturer, straight model: polyamide (PA), thermoplastic elastomer (SEBS), polypropylene (PP), thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), elastane (EL), polyurethane (PUR), cotton (CO), polyester (PES) and polyethylene (PE).
How to choose the size
LumboTrain is available in Titan and in seven sizes. Measure your waist circumference 2.5 cm below the navel:
- Size 1: 70–80 cm
- Size 2: 80–90 cm
- Size 3: 90–100 cm
- Size 4: 100–110 cm
- Size 5: 110–120 cm
- Size 6: 120–130 cm
- Size 7: 130–145 cm

Use
Attach the pad to the support's hook-and-loop fastener, vertically and centered. Insert your fingers into the hand grips and place the support around your waist with the pad centered on your back. Pull both halves of the closure evenly toward the front, press the left half against your abdomen, and fasten the right half on top with the hook-and-loop fastener.
Care
Remove the pad and clean it by hand. Close all hook-and-loop fasteners and wash the support with mild detergent in a laundry bag at 30 °C. Follow the care instructions on the sewn-in label - regular care preserves its effectiveness.
