The product’s effectiveness must be substantiated by data from clinical trials, clinical experience, or scientific studies.

Bauerfeind ErgoPad Redux Heel 2 is a thin and flexible insole that relieves pressure on the heel in cases of heel pain and heel spurs. A cutout in the sole's core removes pressure from the tender area with every step.

  • Cutout under the heel that relieves pressure on the painful area
  • Soft polyurethane foam that cushions despite the thin design
  • Support for fallen arches
  • Slim shape and low profile - fits in many types of shoes
  • Can be trimmed to fit the shoe
  • Available in two widths

Thin insole that relieves pressure on the heel

Bauerfeind ErgoPad Redux Heel 2 is a medical foot orthosis for treating chronic pain in the heel and ankle as well as heel spurs (plantar fasciitis). According to the instructions for use, it is particularly suitable for casual and everyday shoes. The indications also include foot misalignments such as flat feet, splay feet, pes valgus and mild cavus foot.

Recess, fan shape and heel ring

The insole's synthetic core has a recess beneath the heel that absorbs impact when the foot strikes the ground, while soft cushioning in the same area provides rapid pain relief, according to Bauerfeind. The recess extends forward in a fan shape that relieves pressure on the plantar fascia and the surrounding tissue.

The insole also supports the longitudinal arch of the foot - fallen arches are cited as one of the causes of heel pain - and a gently cupped heel ring stabilizes the gait.

Covered with soft foam

Unlike conventional orthopedic insoles, the ErgoPad Redux Heel 2 is covered with soft polyurethane foam. This makes the insole especially flexible, thin and soft, gentle on the skin, and cushioning both when walking and running.

Material composition according to the manufacturer: modified copolyester (PET), polyurethane (PUR) and polyester (PES).

Size and width

The insole is selected according to shoe size (EU) and is available in two widths: Narrow in sizes 35–42 and Wide in sizes 38–48.

More alternatives can be found among our products for heel spurs.

Use

According to the instructions for use, foot orthoses should always be worn as a pair, in properly fitting shoes and with socks. The right and left insoles are marked on the back.

If the insoles do not fit the shoe, they can be trimmed. Use the shoe's own insole as a template: place it on top with the heel sections aligned edge to edge, trace the outline and cut - it is better to trim too little at a time than too much.

Care

Clean the insoles by hand with soap and lukewarm water and leave them to air-dry. They must not be machine-washed, and you should not use heat sources such as radiators, hair dryers or direct sunlight.

In the package

One pair of insoles - one right and one left - in the selected size and width.
